When the site was conceived, we wanted to design the site similiar to a newspaper classified where locals living in that city will want to deal with locals living in their area. Service Providers Online
1.) What is a "Service Providers Online"?
This is a detailed listing of your service or business. It is a personalized listing which you manage through your account. When a user views your listing, it will display your business name, address, phone number, a link to MapQuest, a link to your website, a description of yourself, your credentials, a services menu which you can configure, a built-in online coupon generator, and a traffic counter to track your listing and coupon.
2.) How do I become a Service Provider?
Click on your "Manage My SP Online" link and follow the directions.
3.) What is the "Coupons 2 Locals" category?
When you sign up for the Service Providers Online subscription, within your account, you are able to create and edit coupons on the spot! When you active your coupon, it will automatically be indexed in the appriopiate category you signed up under.
4.) Can I be on the "Coupons 2 Locals" category and skip the Service Providers Online?
Sorry, the only way to be on the "Coupons 2 Locals" category is to be part of the Service Providers Online.
5.) Can I place HTML codes in my listing for the Service Providers Online under the "Manage My Services" link?
Unfortunately, to keep the basic look that local2local is trying to achieve, HTML has been stripped from this portion of the platform. What you type is what will rendered for the users to see.
6.) When I try to configure the menu by clicking on the "configure menu" link, the topics are not appearing in the order I want it to appear?
Because the application is recognizing ascending order, it will place the topics in alphabetical order. To have it render in the order you would like, place a number in front of it.
Example, if you had a service menu of A, B, C and you wanted C to be first on the list, in the space labeled "Item Name," type this: 1. C
By doing this, C will be the first to rendered on the service menu board and so forth. You get the drift! :)
